This directory contains the assembled sequence for the
Nov. 2002 freeze of the rat genome in separate files
for each chromosome in a zipped Fasta format. This
assembly is from the Rat Genome Sequencing Consortium.
It was produced at the Baylor College of Medicine.

This data has specific conditions concerning its use. Refer

If you plan to download a large file or multiple files from
this directory, we recommend that you use ftp rather than
downloading the files via our website. To do so, ftp to
hgarchive.cse.ucsc.edu, then go to the directory
goldenPath/rnNov2002/chromosomes. To download multiple files, use
the "mget" command:
mget <filename1> <filename2> ...

mget -a (to download all the files in the directory)

chromAgp.zip - Description of how the working draft was generated from
fragments at a chromosome layout level.
chromFa.zip - The working draft sequence chromosome in one file per
chromosome. Repeats (from RepeatMasker and Tandem Repeat Finder)
are in lower case while non-repeating sequence is in upper case.
chromFaMasked.zip - The working draft sequence chromosome in one file
per chromosome. Repeats and non-repeating sequence are in upper case.
