This directory contains the preliminary assembly of the Oct. 7, 2000 Genbank freeze posted on our public site on November 10, 2000. This assembly was updated January 9 2001, and that final assembly of the October freeze is currently posted at http://genome.ucsc.edu. The preliminary version here is only for archival purposes. There is one directory for each chromosome, plus the directory "UL" for clone layouts that have not been assigned to a chromosome yet, and "NA" for clones which have not been grouped into clone layouts in the genome layout. There is a subdirectory for each clone layout, and inside this subdirectory the sequence file (in Fasta format) and a description of how the sequence file was assembled (in .agp format).
